Wordpress 2.7 - comments - threaded and pagination
In reading the changes (Codex) of how comments are handled in WP 2.7, it appears as if a mod may be needed to the Mimbo Pro comments.php (and possibly functions.php) to take advantage of the new features. I have a pretty heavily moded comments section and am mainly looking to take advantage of the paging feature. I've been using a pagination plugin (YAAPC), but this has very limited functionality for Firefox users (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/218050). http://www.canigetaverdict2.com/ Thoughts? Thanks Jim |

I think this is something we will need to look in to, we have an update due so this would be a nice extra to add into the mix. |

Ben, a thought about the update. Will it overwrite all translatiosn made for us non English users (oh, how I dread making all the translations again!)? If so, do you think it will be okay to simply carry on with the old version, or are there changes made needed for wp 2.7, crucial security updates, etc. that makes it virtually a must to install the new update when it comes along? |
Oh, and I was also wondering about tracking codes for affiliates, etc. added in the functions.php will that too be overwritten in an update? |

If you're happy with the theme as it is then there's no need to change anything. Oh - and rest assured any future themes will have proper localisation features :) |

any idea on when an update will be put out? i'm also looking for threaded comments support since "brian's latest comments" is not working in 2.7 |
Hi - no idea currently. I'll go for as soon as possible |
Has anyone out there done the leg work to integrate these features with Mimbo Pro theme? |
did you know, that Mimbo rocks the intense debate plugin? It looks really good in the context of the Mimbo Pro theme. just saying, if you wanted to add some new features to your comments that's a decent way to do it without waiting for an update. |
