Images won't show (Story or author)

I have tried to add images to my website per the tutorial on Mimbo Pro.

I can't add any images to show up on homepage.
Also, I can't add author image to show up on author page.

Is there a setting or some code that needs help.

Could someone please take a look at my site at:

also, I am on wordpress version 2.6.3 -- Is this part of the problem?
