You have some good video on using "The Local". Do you have a video even more basic as how to aquire "The Local", and the widgets?

Can you down load using FTP, or only zip files (which I don't like).?

I have put out a request for help on Guru, and recieved some bids to help. Before I proceed I would like to know how difficult it is to download, and I have several domains that I want to use "The Local".

Question: Once I do get a version working on one domains can I transfer "The Local" to the others using FTP?

I would use Guru bids, but most bids are for 3 domains only.. and one says only one version of WP, which suggests to me they feel all domains are using the same server.

Thanks

I don't know what Guru is?

"Aquiring" The Local involves purchasing the theme from the Pro Theme Design store. There's a "buy now" button on the theme information page. http://prothemedesign.com/themes/thelocal/

Installation is quick and easy. It can be done using FTP. We have documentation on installing themes here: http://prothemedesign.com/support/general-wordpress-help/

Thanks for your response. I did purchase and download "The Local". I am now trying to change the "header" to reflect my website rather than called The Local..

Thanks Again

I found out how to change the text in the header. Now I am trying to figure out how to setup 1-2-3 or 4 columns. By the time I figure out how to use "The Local" I could have written it all in HTML, but I am sure the ability to use widgets will make it worth the time. My editor has always been notepad.

I also would like someone point me to how to set the tables, text, and background of the RSS feeds.

I wondered what I was going to with my time following retirement(other than golf), and so far this has been fun learning something new.

Thanks
