How to add Google and Twitter Keywords?

Hi there. How do I add Google and Twitter Keywords like the Accumulo demo? I keep getting the error, 'error fetching feed'. All I'm doing right now is copying the same URL from the Accumulo demo link for SEARCH 'WORDPRESS' as a test. Just not sure how to link to Google searches and Twitter feeds. Could use some help. Thanks, Donovan

FOR GOOGLE:

1. Do a search in Google.

2. In the footer of the search results page is a "RSS Feed" for that page.

3. Right click on the the RSS Feed link, "Copy Link" and use the Accumulo RSS Widget just like you do on blogs.

FOR TWITTER:

1. You must be logged in to Twitter.

2. Search for a keyword in Twitter

2. At the bottom of the right sidebar is a link entitled "RSS feed for this query"

3. Right click on the the RSS Feed link, "Copy Link" and use the Accumulo RSS Widget just like you do on blogs.

I do a search in Google. However, I've looked and looked and just don't see an RSS Feed link in the footer.

Just wondering too. Did anyone figure out how to get the RSS feed link for google search results?

To be honest I am not sure how Darren did it either. I'm going to see if he can add a tutorial to the docs so that everyone knows how to do it.

Thanks for looking into this. I truly feel this theme is missing a basic How To document. At least a How to explaining how to create a site that mimics the demo.

Sorry guys, should have explained before. For Google, just set up an alert and there will be a feed provided -

http://www.google.com/alerts

For Twitter, you can just tweak this URL -

http://search.twitter.com/search.atom?q=wordpress

(Just substitute for the word 'wordpress')

Thanks for the instruction. I worked.

I created a Google alert for 'WordPress'. Do I enter the RSS code into the Website URL field or the Feed URL field in the Accumulo RSS feed widget? I just entered it into both fields and it seems to have worked just fine.

You need to enter the url for the RSS into the feed url field on the widget. The website url should be a link to the website you are grabbing the feeds from.
