Any thoughts on what is proper engagement with the RSS feed originators? Is it better to secure permission from those sites or at least let them know? Alltop has a submission process so I assume all sites have given Alltop permission. Or is a terms and conditions that specifies that content owners can request removal of feed enough? |

Technically anyone who runs a site that offers an RSS feed does so with the understanding that their server is going to get pinged by people's RSS readers, or in this case, an RSS aggregator. There's nothing that says you have to ask for permission, but it may be good form to drop an email just saying they're being featured on your site in case there are any objections. |
