I would recommend using something like Google Analytics.

The problem with server logs is that it tracks all hits to the servers, including images and javascript and everything that is not a page. In this case TimThumb is essentially one of your images (since that's what it displays) so should be ignored.

Using Google Analytics will give you a lot more interesting data as well. Besides how many page views you receive it will tell you what countries people are from, what browsers they use - how they use the site - and all sorts of other cool stuff

They would know more about it then some of us would. They specialize and that kind of stuff.

I am sure it wouldn't be hard for them.

Hi there,

Site's been live for a couple of weeks now, thought I'd have a look at the site stats.

I think the WP files and timthumb might be skewing figures somewhat, eg.

PAGES:
1. ../wp-content/themes/mimbopro/scripts/timthumb.php #147835 (89.78%)
2 ../ #2455 (1.49%)

Do you know of any way to exclude the .php files from the PAGES report in a standard web MI system?

Perhaps I should be asking the question to my site host?

Thanks, Martin
